Sysprep and Setup Manager for Windows XP are located on the Xp cd 

in  Support\Tools\Deploy.cab

Check Create A New Answer File

 

Check Sysprep Install

Click Next

 

Check XP Professional 

Click Next

Check Fully Automate the Install

 Click Next

 

 

Type in Names 

Click Next

 

For the Most Part Use The Defaults Here 

Click Next

 

Pick Your Time Zone 

(hint eastern time is up and is time zone 35)

Click Next

Enter Your Cd Key Here 

Click Next

 

 

Type in a Name For the Computer 

Click Next

Type in the  Password You want For Administrator

(If Your Administrator Password Was Not Blank This Will Generate an Error Message

When The Imaged Computers are Booted The First Time)

Click Next

 

For DHCP Just Click Next

For A Workgrouped Computer

Check Workgroup

Type In the Name Of The Workgroup

Click Next

For A Domain Computer Check WindowsServer Domain

Type In the Name Of The Domain

User name With Permission to add to the domain and Enter and Verify The Password

Click Next

 

Pick Your Country Enter

 Your Area Code

Click Next

For US English Use Defaults

Click Next

If you Dont Need Another Language

 Click Next

To  Point An Installed Printer To A Networked Printer Enter The Path

Click Add

Click Next

 

This Will Put A command In The RunOnce Key Of The Registry

Click Next

This Will Put A command In The RunServices Key Of The Registry

Click Next

 

You Can Enter A Message That Will Help You Keep Track Of Which Image Is Which

Click Next

 

This Is The Default Path C:\Sysprep

And the  Name Of The File Is Sysprep.inf

(Dont Change The Name)

Click Ok

 

Click Ok

 

In Order For The Image To Be Unattended You Must Check "MiniSetup"

Click Reseal Sysprep Will Do Its Thing and The Computer Will Shut Down And Be ready For Imaging. Do Not Reboot The Computer And Allow It To Start ! It Will Run The PNP Setup And You Will HAve To Start Over Again.
